Hugh Kendall
Hugh has practiced law in Chattanooga for 50 years.
Hugh is a native of Ducktown, Tennessee. He is a graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in history and economics and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from The University of Tennessee.
Hugh and his late wife, Kay Marie, formerly of Maryville, Tennessee, were married for 53 years and have two sons. Jonathan lives in Bluffton, South Carolina, and David lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Hugh is a former member of the Center for Professional Responsibility of the American Bar Association and of the Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Bar Association.
Hugh is a Past President of The Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, the Tennessee Federal Tax Institute, and a former Chairman of the Tax, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association.
Hugh is a Fellow and former Regent of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is a former Tennessee State Chair of ACTEC, a former Editor of its quarterly professional journal, ACTEC Journal, and a former Chair of its Professional Responsibility Committee.
Hugh is a Fellow of the Chattanooga Bar Foundation.
